a little taco love
Here's a fun web site I saw today. Are there any covers not here that you think could be included? If you have mad Photoshop skills, make your own!

just a quick note
The Jenn half of Jennika is on a trip right now. When she gets back, the Erika half of Jennika will be leaving for a trip. When we are both finally back together, we will be heading out for trip number 2: Half Hell and Bolivia. Awesome.

July 17 - Bear Grass
Welcom to Bear Grass, North Carolina!
Ratings for Bear Grass:
1. Attractiveness of town--4 tacos--some houses had junk in the yard and there were rundown trailer areas
Ratings for Bear Grass:
1. Attractiveness of town--4 tacos--some houses had junk in the yard and there were rundown trailer areas
Oddly, this house did not count against them because it looks cool and haunted. Plus, it may have been outside the town limits.
2. Friendliness of people--5 tacos--in a town with a population of 53, you'd think everyone would know what cars "belong" there and still everyone we drove by waved at us
3. Quality of tacos--N/A
4. Distance to nearest tacos--7.5 miles away in Williamston--the taco place was not open, so we ate at Andy's instead, which was delicious
5. Amount of culture--kraken--the town's Culture Center looked like it hadn't been opened in a few years
6. Ease of getting to town--3 tacos--there are no signs on Highway 64, you'll have to rely on your GPS unit to get you there
7. Literal name?--N/A
Is this bear grass?
8. Stuff to do--1 taco--there is very little in Bear Grass itself, however, Deadwood is just outside of town
Overall rating: 2.4 tacos
Deadwood:
This will be fun for families, less so for 2 girls in their late 20s/early 30s with no kids. There is a mini-golf course, a restaurant, an ice cream parlor, a train ride, and a roller coaster for little kids. There is what looks like either the remains or the beginning of a water ride for little kids as well. The signage for mini-golf was a little confusing. It said to pay at the ice cream parlor but no directions to where the ice cream parlor is located. Here are some pictures we took at Deadwood:
Part of the "town"
Another part of the "town"
Jenn hanging out by the water with the fake ducks
Thank goodness that tiny fence is there to protect me from the T-rex!
And here are some pictures we took on the trip that aren't from Bear Grass:
We had to turn at the intersection of Prison Camp Road and Ed's Grocery Road
And this is Ed's Grocery--Service with a smile!
I think Five Cent Road is named after Fifty Cent's little brother
Fix It Road--Bob the Builder lives here
Conetoe, North Carolina, is on the way from Fayetteville to Bear Grass
